The Lviv regional Council supported by a majority of votes the appeal to the central authorities with a request to return the title of Hero of Ukraine to Stepan Bandera. The deputies announced this initiative on January 1 in connection with the celebration of the 112th anniversary of the birth of the Ukrainian nationalist.
