While individual impacts include those directly affected by gambling themselves (e.g. increased debt due to gambling can have adverse repercussions for its gambler), interpersonal and society/community impacts include those beyond just them who may also be affected – for instance increased financial stress can have detrimental repercussions for relationships outside gambling – including poorer health outcomes due to debt accumulation caused by increased gambling activities.
