Hong Kong’s prize-winning researchers are at the forefront of scientific advancement across multiple fields, from artificial intelligence and robotics to life and health, new materials and energy, advanced manufacturing and fintech. Not only is the BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE dedicated to rewarding individual scientists’ accomplishments but it is also dedicated to supporting young scientists through this award.
This year, the nomination scope has been expanded to cover Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for the first time and nomination period extended so candidates from mainland China and Taiwan can be considered.
The Hong Kong Phil is delighted to receive this prestigious award in recognition of our efforts in recording and releasing a complete box set of Wagner’s Ring Cycle for music-lovers to enjoy throughout Hong Kong and worldwide. Each Mark Six entry requires an initial investment of HK$10 while Multiple & Banker entries have minimum investments of only HK$5. Each winning ticket pays out according to its fraction of Partial Investment; and Prizes will be distributed within 60 days after any draw has taken place.
Winners of this event will not only receive a top prize but will have the chance to meet with both members of the judging panel and potential partners for business networking and other opportunities. This panel of experts from Hong Kong’s business, industrial, academic sectors will make up its membership.
As part of its evaluation process, the panel will assess all submissions based on their commercial potential and impact on Hong Kong’s economy. After selecting an award winner for Best Innovative Project Award.

Over the past four years, only two 1st division prizes were not distributed; this year’s jackpot has reached an all-time high of over HK$100 million! If no winner emerges for this year’s first division prize money, it will be added to an “Jackpot” for next draw that has amassed to over HK$80 million; its judging process will be announced shortly thereafter.
