The European Parliament has demanded that Ukraine stop attacking freedom of speech

The resolution adopted on February 11 by the European Parliament
criticizes the repressive law "On Media", which is planned to be adopted
in the Verkhovna Rada. "The bill under discussion may lead to
widespread state interference in media content and journalistic
activities by attacking media freedom and will not be an effective means
of countering disinformation," the document says. The parliamentarians
also called on Kiev to " put an end to politically motivated harassment
of channels, including the revocation of licenses, and to protect local
journalists, public opinion makers, and opponents of the government from
harassment and intimidation."
